Wearing Green and White at the Wigwam

The beautiful Wigwam Resort is located practically in my backyard.  It is a lovely getaway favored by the rich, famous and me. Every Sunday they host a local farmer’s market on the grounds of the front lawn.

Occasionally I stop by after church since it is right up the street. It was a warm day so I was thankful to be wearing a lightweight green cotton voile blouse I found at Goodwill for $3.00.

The white skirt came from Anthro last summer. It was also at a deep discount. Why? It had one small ripped seam located near the zipper. I sewed it up in under a minute and saved $40. Yahoo!

Speaking of green, did I mention that the gardener’s at the Wigwam are truly gifted?

wigwam 054

A bed of snow? No, just lush alyssum with a border of gorgeous red geraniums.

But please, don’t pick the blossoms or eat the daisies.

wigwam 027

There are large bungalows nestled in between palm trees and fragrant roses.

My 10 year old photographer suggested I sit on the swing so I obliged.

Here you can get a closer look at the Forever 21 necklace, daisy earrings and green patent belt.

wigwam 042

I love the outdoor seating areas which are complete with chiminea’s ~ perfect for cool desert nights.

wigwam 044

Smaller casita’s are also available.

wigwam 049

Knock knock, is anybody home? The trinket flats were found on clearance last fall at Anthro. They now have other colors here.

wigwam 051

Before we headed home the photographer said we should get something for dinner. The organic orange beets were so yummy in a salad.

wigwam 029

A special thanks to my photographer who took all of the fashion shots. He’s quite good I think.

May you have a well designed day,

Laura

Beautiful outfit and green is my favorite color. I love a good bargain too. Many of my favorite wardrobe pieces came from yardsales, GW or the Salvation army.
And tell that photographer to keep up the good work. 🙂

First, may I complement the photographer on a job well done!
And I totally agree with his choice of supper veggies. Everything looks so good though. It would be a difficult choice. 🙂
Cute outfit but then, you are so pretty, you could look adorable in anything! Great find on the white skirt.
What a pretty place to visit on a Sunday. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

You look so much nicer than I do when I go to my f.market! Also, your photographer did an awesome job 🙂
You know, I was born here, raised here even and I've never been out to the wigwam. Driven by, but never inside the grounds.

The green and white outfit is so sweet and SUMMERY, but modest, and I love it. The wigwam looks like a lovely place to visit.
    I've never had fresh beets…
    Happy Wednesday to you!
