Family

A Hilarious Hot Mess

Over the past few weeks, I have been consumed by end of semester projects and trying to find Christmas. My poor family has been subsisting on frozen food. I am, needless to say, A Hilarious Hot Mess, and my house…. oh the horror I haven’t cleaned house in over 2 weeks.

A Hilarious Hot Mess

A Hilarious Hot Mess

Yet somehow this man still loves me and took me out to celebrate his birthday a bit early last Saturday. I think it was the last time my hair and makeup were done. The tree is STILL without a topper and ornaments.

Eric and Laura Christmas 2010

Hang in there honey, it’s almost over. Until next semester.

Happy, happy birthday to my knight in Christmas lit armor.

You are almost done! I agree with you-kids stay in school! My mom went back to school when I was in elementary school and I still remember her studying all night… Dad and I would make enchiladas(it was the only thing he could make)…maybe that's why my mom still doesn't like our enchiladas!

Hang in there. You will succeed, and it will all be gorgeous.

    Laura,
Thanks for sharing….oh how true, how true…I tell my children that quitting is not an option when they get really tired of college, because I too know what it is like to try to go back when you have a family. It's very difficult.
You should be so proud of yourself…your hubby is too, I'm sure!
    Hugs.

Oh yes! I just finished a presentation this morning, have an exam tomorrow and one more paper due before Christmas. I HEAR you, sister, loud and clear, and I ECHO your comments – stay in school while you are young!

Love your video….been there. One year the tree was up with nothing on it until Christmas Eve when our son came home from college and brought his new girlfriend. They saw it as an adventure and got the tree and the whole house decorated while I was at work. She's been his wife for over 9 years now – sure do love her…and him!
This too shall pass for you – hang in there!

Haha I have just gotten my 'puter back to being able to hear video; I did not know you owned a sweatshirt! Sent you many positive thoughts for finals; I hope the fam forgives the cleaning, if they are like mine, throwing some food at it works great. I made meringue mushrooms tonight and wished you were here. 2.0 tomorrow. I am so in high gear, even the pup girls are tired watching the activity. my best to the house~
