A True Thanksgiving

Lately, I have been pondering on what it means to have A True Thanksgiving.

“We all have angels guiding us…They look after us. They heal us, touch us, comfort us with invisible warm hands… What brings their help? Asking. Giving thanks.” ~ Sophy Burnham

I am so thankful to you my dear friends.

“Become willing to see the hand of God and accept it as a friend’s offer to help you with what you are doing.” ~ Julia Cameron

Heart-Hand

I am thankful for my family who is always willing to pitch in.

“Hands to work, hearts to God.”  ~ Shaker Axiom

Daddy's Hands-Artistic

Both offer beautiful gifts of the heart that I will be eternally grateful for.

“May no gift be too small to give, nor too simple to receive, which is wrapped in thoughtfulness, and tied with love.”  ~ L. O. Baird

To give of the heart is truly a priceless gift. I am so thankful for our service men and women.

“You give but little when you give of your possessions.  It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.”  ~ Kahlil Gibran

So in this season of Thanksgiving, I find myself not really concerned about what is on my turkey day menu, or which plates will grace my tablescape. Instead, I find my thoughts consumed by gratitude and perhaps this is as it should be.

“An open home, an open heart, here grows a bountiful harvest.” ~ Judy Hand

Two-Hands-Holding-A-Pink-Paper-Heart

I shall strive to see that everything in life is a miracle and dearly hope that peace, happiness, and gratitude find their way into all hearts this holiday season.

“Hope is the thing with feathers- that perches in the soul…” ~ Emily Dickinson

We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another. (Luciano de Crescenzo)

I am thankful for all the embraces I've received from one winged angels in order that I may soar above life's challenges.

    This is really beautiful.
I'm out of the loop lately, as there's just so much going on, but this is lovely.

What I'm most thankful for this year, has come recently – a new appreciation for my husband and a restoration, so to speak, of our love for each other.

    Blessings always,
    Linda
