On Friday my day began before sunrise. Luckily this pumpkin lit up my sleepy self. Can you tell who it is wishing you a Happy Halloweiner?ย Arizona Bloggers Luncheon.
Arizona Bloggers Luncheon
I wanted to get in some last minute studying for a midterm. But I turned in my exam not feeling very confident. Luckily I left school to attend the Arizona Blogger Luncheon. This sweet table setting immediately lifted my spirits.
Here’s my idea of the perfect sandwich. I just adore Miss Maija, whom I have been blessed to meet before, and the delightful Marty who helped organize this wonderful event.
How about a side of “cheese” with Liz and Maija?
What a great group of gals! I am sure the other restaurant patrons thought we all were crazy. Why? A group of bloggers will always have their camera ready to capture every cute crouton.
Here’s Mimi caught in the act!
A Little Swap
Speaking of Mimi, we had a random goody swap and she created the cutest BOO letters that I was lucky enough to receive. My dear friend Ceekay received the gift I had brought~ a black hand blown heart strung on an organza necklace. It was a perfect fit!
Halloween Celebration
I had to leave the luncheon all to soon to go spend a wonderful afternoon with this handsome guy.
The kids loved the batty craft. Wasn’t it clever of Sweet Boy’s teacher to cover the desks in a black paper? They had so much fun writing on it with white pencils. Clean up was a breeze.
Indiana Jones is all lined up for the Halloween parade.
By now it was 3 pm and I am looking and feeling a little tired. Give me some Halloween candy~STAT! I still had to go and meet with the children’s minister of the church I am helping to decorate. We needed to finalize the placement of the selected paint colors for the kid’s rooms. It is going to be a wonderful space.
Back home by 5, Mr. Decor and Sweet Boy left on a Boy Scout compass/maze adventure. I worked until 10 pm on a semester project. When I become tired I sometimes get super silly. Poor Rudi received the brunt of this:
Of course, Rudi forgave me since Mr. Decor had carved his image in the pumpkin above at my request. Kiss~Kiss!
How was your day?

Laura it was very fun meeting you at the AZ luncheon. I just wish we would've had more time to visit more. We all definitely need to do this again! I was thrilled to be included since I was the odd duck being the CA girl.
But it was a fun time!

Hi! Just found your blog and haven't read back too far so I'll ask the obvious…any relation to the other Laura Ingalls? The reason I ask is my uncle's middle name is Ingalls and they are related by way of Carrie maybe? I don't remember because it was so long ago that I asked him. The blogger conference looks like a lot of fun!! I'd love to go to something like that sometimes. Take care ~ โฅ

Your sweet Indiana Jones is adorable.
What a fun weekend you had – busy to be sure, but full of productivity and goodness.
Exams are a pain. I turned in an anthropology midterm a week ago feeling just like you did. I'm still waiting for the grade – although I'd just as soon not know.

Laura, I just wanted you to know I dropped by your sweet daughter's blog, and she is SO talented. But I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in this case. I know you're proud of her! She has got a lot of artisitic talent, and she writes well, too. Beautiful dresses and beautiful prose.

I love these day in the life kind of posts. Not only are they fun and informative, they break the illusion of that perfect life we all think other bloggers have. Although, I think your day was crazy beautiful!
