In A State Of Bliss

I have SO much to tell you. The Bohemian Bliss event was amazing! I truly have a week’s worth of posts to share. Here is one small taste. I am with my sweet friend Mary of Sweetpeas and Snapshots. Yes, we had ALOT of fun! I amΒ In A State Of Bliss.

In A State Of Bliss

In A State Of Bliss

I should be packing but I am blogging. Does this sound familiar to anyone?Β I leave tomorrow, bright and early, to go visit my grandmother. I posted a small sample of what I brought home last year and she has forewarned me to bring an empty suitcase this year.Β I am taking her a present. Do you want to see? (Click on the photo for a closer look.)

Embroidered pillow
Last year “Grandma Jingles” gave me a tiny triangular piece of embroidery on silk from the Victorian era. The stitching on the back was beautiful as the front. I was told to “Do something with this.”Β So I thought for awhile and this is what I came up with:
Embroidered pillow
Do you think she’ll like it?

Be well my friends and I shall return next week.

That photo of the two of you is gorgeous and so is the cushion. Have fun with your grandmother. You are lucky still to have one, though I know you know were not that ‘lucky’ with all your relatives. I don’t have any grandparents anymore since I was 14 (long, long ago). Have a great week!

Your grandmother is a wise lady. She knew who to give that little treasure of a scrap of fabric to. She knew you would do right by it and you did.

Love the photo of you and friend enjoying yourselves!

Your Grandmother will be thrilled with the new cushion, it is lovely.

Yes, I can relate to blogging instead of what I am really meant to be doing
which is sewing drapes for our Sons bedroom.

Good luck with the packing and have a lovely time away.

    Hugs

I tried getting to your page, the usual way through Internet Explorer and I’m still receiving an error message and the page won’t display. This is the same thing that happened previously with another blog that I follow. I think it has something to do with some change in format or some element on your page that has changed since the last time I viewed it. I can only get to it via Firefox, which we only have at work. Hope whatever it is, is fixed so that I can still visit. πŸ™‚
