Quick and Charmingly Cheap Gifts

I don’t get to see my childhood friends as often as I would like. Since we live so far away from one another birthdays and holidays are usually marked with just a card. So when I do see them in person I like to give a little token “just because”. Quick and Charmingly Cheap Gifts.

The flip flops are so easy to make. You will need:

  • Flip flops. (I found mine on sale at Old Navy.)
  • A few faux flowers. (Dollar Store)
  • Metal alligator hair clips. (Walmart)
  • A hot glue gun.

Simply hot glue the clip onto the back of the flower.

Once the glue is dry open the clip and slide it onto the flip flop!

The second gift was a dual purpose present. A bit of pampering plus a place for my friends to safely keep their jewelry while traveling.

I found these tiny monogrammed plates at Anthro on sale and thought they would be perfect to hold a small bar of soap or chocolate but settled upon bath fizzers found at the Dollar Store.

T is for Tracy. 🙂

I simply tied the fizzer to the dish with a bit of seam binding. It can then be topped with a clip on flower.

The flip-flops and pampering plates were both placed into a cute gift bag.

A small gesture that was greatly appreciated!

The mini gifts make a great shower or birthday party favor.

These are precious, Laura. A handmade gift is always the best of all. I can't wait to try something like this…at least for myself!

Love the cute flip flops. What a great idea for changing out the look using the clips so they can be removed and even changed out for different colors, etc. Those tiny plates are adorable too with the pamper of the bath fizzer. So sweet, just like you!
