I received a very nice surprise yesterday. The lovely and effervescent KariAnne shared three recent projects I had created using her wonderful fabric. It was A Sweet Fabric Feature From Thistlewood Farm.
She showcased my fabric banner, fabric covered clothespins, button magnets, and wee needle books.
Fabric Needle Books
Yesterday several of you inquired if I could provide a few more photos of the needle books.
Your wish is my command.
I apologize for the photo quality. It has been raining nonstop here and I think my camera is acting up a bit.
I used the instructions HERE to create the books. They were made with KariAnne’s wonderful “Sweet Tea” and “Simply Eclectic” fabric line by Hoffman Fabric.
The interior features 100% wool felt. Wool helps to sharpen pins and needles and keep them rust free.
I’m already working on my next project for KariAnne and I can’t wait to share it!

I helped to run a sewing class for middle schoolers, and similar needle books were one of our first projects. We also sewed ribbons to the edges so they could be tied closed.

All your craft projects were so pretty and I'm so glad the whole world knows it! I can't wait to make one of your banners for an event. I usually use paper but the fabric gives me so many more options and I love the way it drapes. Also your instructions were so easy! Congrats! Congrats!
What a beautiful job she did on your lovely projects. Sweet little bits and pieces that make plain ordinary objects a little bit sweeter.
My niece is a crafty stitcher and made a sweet little case, much like your needle cases, for me to carry my tea bags around in since I enjoy a special uncaffinated tea. What a dear little treasure it is.
I am always amazed at what sewers and crafters can come up with from ordinary objects. 🙂
