My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

Right up the street from Storybook Cottage is a gorgeous garden. It is My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

I walk past this enchanting space a few times a week while walking the dogs.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

This past Friday, on Earth Day no less, I made my way up the front walk.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

I rang the doorbell, introduced myself and asked my green-thumbed neighbors if I could take a few pictures and if they could offer me a few great gardening tips.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

S.R., the resident gardener, was happy to oblige.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

At every turn, there is something sweet to see.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

Darling vignettes hold abundant blooms.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

The house sits on a corner lot providing ample gardening opportunities.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

The side yards are just as charming.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

Here a rose bush is propped up by an old metal headboard.

The Backyard

In the backyard, the loveliness continues.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

A good portion of the yard contains a lovely pool.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

A happy corner.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

I asked, “How much for the WHOLE yard?” Alas, my neighbors decided not to sell.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

Sweet statuary.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

The multiple layers of texture and color just made me feel peaceful and happy.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

A sweet seat.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

A happy arrangement.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

The out of the box ideas were so inspiring.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

My favorite might have been this old ice cream parlor chair turned floral shelf.

My Neighbor’s Gorgeous Garden

I hope you have enjoyed S.R. and Lynn’s lovely garden.

How does your garden grow?

I love whimsy in the garden and I was swooning around every nook and cranny in your neighbor's yard! The vintage bike, flowing with flowers, the cherubs, the chandelier, the iron pieces…oh my…I'd be walking by there everyday, too.

I just love gardens that are filled with unique things. This is beautiful!! Obviously these sweet neighbors enjoy their outdoor spaces. Did you ask to see inside their house? Anybody that goes to that much trouble must have a fun interior too. 🙂

Laura, how nice to have this beautiful garden so close to you. Ha! Ha! You can enjoy the beauty without the work. I like all the interesting texture among the plants. You can tell they enjoy finding special pieces to use in their garden. Thanks for taking us along.

This is such an enchanting garden! So many special items that were collected lovingly through the years. I love their use of mulch under the tree, with so much shade it is difficult to have grass, we have the same problem here. But somehow theirs looks much better lol. Wonderful post Laura, and lots of inspiration for my own garden!

Hello Laura, it is nice to meet you! I am visiting from your link on Jemma's blog. Your neighbor's gardens are just gorgeous. I think my favorite is also the little chair and how they have it hung from the fence. I have a similar chair…and now my creative wheels are spinning! 🙂
