Hello sweet friends! Welcome to the first Lifestyle of Love hop this year. This fun hop is hosted by my friend Cindy of County Road 407. Our theme this month is toolboxes. This is a fantastic starting point for a Vintage Inspired Storage Idea.
If you are coming over from The Ponds Farmhouse may I say “Hello, I am so glad that you are here!” Rachel has collected some lovely ideas.
Vintage Inspired Storage Idea
After cranking out holiday content for the past three months without a break I felt like I had lost my mojo. It was time for a quick spin around Pinterest to find some inspiration.
There appear to be three design categories overall for decorating with toolboxes.
The Shelf
Finding Home Farms
Desk and Dresser Storage
Centerpiece Container
Giddy Up!
My brother is soon coming for a visit. He has been recovering from shoulder surgery for the past month. I too have been quietly staying at home so we feel secure that it is safe.
Now he loves to tease me about my “fancy tables”. So of course I need to create something special just for him. He’s a handy, rustic living sort of guy.
A toolbox is a perfect base for a fun centerpiece.
Mr. Decor made it for me from an old broom handle and a bit of worn-out fencing. I gave it a fresh lick of white paint.
I will take a cheery vintage tablecloth over something new any day. How about you pardner?
Bandanas are the perfect casual napkin for cowpokes. They can also double as a face mask. Just don’t wear it to the bank.
A decorative lasso of sorts for my brother’s heart. I know he’ll be secretly pleased.
Yeehaw!
Next up is the amazingly talented Coco of The Crowned Goat.
Happy trails to you!

I have that tablecloth! Or one darned close — mine looks a tad more light beige but that might be the light. The cowboys sure look the same or close! I’m glad your brother is coming — that will be a terrific visit and probably a wonderful place for him to recuperate. I think he’ll love the table — and even if he doesn’t, I do!

So so cute, Laura! I love your sense of humor to “humor” your brother! Your vintage tablecloth is so fun. I really like your nod to a lasso — Ha! Also that first pic you posted of the toolbox shelf — I didn’t even realize it was a toolbox at first! What a grand way to repurpose a toolbox — so nifty. Have a wonderful and sweet visit with your brother. Hugs!

My vintage loving heart is pitter-pattering fast after seeing your cowboy tablecloth. What a treasure! You styled your toolbox perfectly to go along with this wonderful tablecloth. Speaking of toolboxes, Mr. Decor did a fabulous job of making this one for you.

The table cloth slays me. And bandannas make great napkins, my GS Retreat committee has over 100 of them… My troop has a lot too – there’s a million uses for them!
