Hello and welcome to the Storybook Cottage Spring Home Tour 2018. This wonderful group of homes decorated in their spring finery is organized by my wonderfully talented friend Marty of A Stroll Thru Life. If you are coming from Our Fifth House I am so glad that you are here. Carmel has an amazing eye for color and detail.
Spring Home Tour 2018
I recently shared a $30 springtime bedroom refresh. Today’s tour includes the entry, formal dining area, and living room.
In the dining area, I brought several of my favorite gardening tools inside.
Watering cans, seed scoops, and vintage copper potting pots all do double duty.
To complement the galvanized metal and copper I used soft shades of green and peach.
I found this old watering can at an estate sale this past winter. It’s been patiently waiting for a spring debut.
On the dining table, I used a galvanized metal lantern I have had for years as a centerpiece.
It was filled with a few books, a wee nest, and handpainted eggs.
Vintage crystal glasses are used as vases.
The Entry
The nearby entry table also was graced with a bit of gardening goodness.
French antique confit pots mingle with faux topiaries.
The Mantel
I carried the soft spring green over to the mantel and living room.
The various textures and soft colors create a soothing vignette.
More books and birds.
The coffee table grouping features more faux greenery.
Cabinet of Curiosities
This spring the cabinet of curiosities features a neutral grouping.
A mix of old and new favorites always feels fresh.
Gracie the doxie hopes you have enjoyed this year’s spring tour. She says come back soon to see the Easter decor and reveal of the DIY Home Planner Bathroom remodel.
Please be sure to visit all of the wonderful spring home tours!
Tomorrow the tours will begin at my sweet friend Vel’s home. You will love her glorious use of artwork and accessories at Life & Home @ 2012.

You are so talented with arrangements and vignettes. You have so many truly beautiful pieces. The table in your entry is gorgeous and unusual, love the style and the wood is incredible alongside your vignette on it.. Am always very much interested in unusual pieces which are so pretty.
