A French Country Inspired Valentine Tablescape

Recently, I have had France on my mind and created A French Country Inspired Valentine Tablescape.

A French Country Inspired Valentine Tablescape

A French Country Inspired Valentine Tablescape

The French word for love is amour. Valentine’s Day (la Saint Valentin) is enthusiastically celebrated by the French who love to use lots of red and natural elements.

A French Country Inspired Valentine Tablescape

For the centerpiece, I stacked a few coverless paperback romance novels on top of one another and topped them with a simple bouquet of roses and eucalyptus.

A bit of romantic ambiance was added by candlelight. Vintage jello molds were filled with red hots and topped with an unscented white votive.

Red hearts were created with a bit of cardstock, glitter, and glue.

Each place setting featured a heart shaped favor filled with candy.

Wicker chargers and red gingham ribbon add in some country charm.

The chandelier was strung with a cute as a button Valentine garland.

CUTE AS A BUTTON

A bonne Saint-Valentin to be sure!

Your French inspired table top is so romantic and sweet. I love the cover-less books and the red gingham gives is so much charm.
I like how you wove the ribbon through the paper hearts to make the little packages. You family will certainly enjoy a meal served with love. 🙂

Your table is awesome . . . how very romantic. I is very plain to see that you put a lot of love into in.
I have a question . . . do the red hots put off a cinnamon smell, while the candle is lit? I love the smell of cinnamon and the simply delightful way you used red hots in your design is so nostalgic.
    I love it 🙂
    You Rock!
