Hello dear friends, I have just finished decorating our formal dining area. This past Sunday we lit the first candle of Advent. It represented hope. My tail feathers are dragging a bit at the moment and I have hope that with a few days of rest and quiet I will soon feel refreshed. Here’s to Friday Favorites Joyful Days.

Friday Favorites Joyful Days
I am joyful that once again I have time for my morning walks with Grace. There is something so lovely and peaceful about this time. If you enjoy winter gardens this post featuring beautiful topiary in a Cumbrian garden will delight your soul.
A Little Lighter
With the recent wedding of my son, Thanksgiving and several houseguests I have been eating very heavy. I can’t wait to reset with this Hearty Sweet Potato, Arugula & Wild Rice Salad with Ginger Dressing.
Gilded Age Ideas
If you are a fan of the television show The Gilded Age you will love this holiday house tour of Marble House.
Pipe Cleaner Wreaths
This sweet tutorial looks like the kind of craft I need right now. Not too complicated, uses up scraps and can add a sweet touch to presents, candles, mason jars and more.
Natural Touches
My friend Michele collected numerous sugar cones for me and I cannot wait to add them to my decor this year. I loved the natural touches found in this lovely post.

I hope you’ll stop by tomorrow when I share the holiday decor added to my living room.
