The I Blogged Your Mama! Basket

Happy Good Friday to you. Are you finishing up all of your springtime holiday preparations? I wish that there were two of me. One to clean the house and finish the grocery shopping and another to deliver these happy baskets to my wonderful neighbors and friends. The I Blogged Your Mama! Basket.

The “I Blogged Your Mama!” Basket

I don’t think that an Easter basket HAS to have a handle on it. I found these sweet willow gems for 15 cents at the thrift store. The pastel polka dotted ribbon I have had forever. The darling free Easter tag printables are HERE. Of course, candy was added to the baskets. A wee nest in the center is made from a mini cupcake liner.

My favorite item that I gave to all my friends who tease me incessantly about blogging: The “I Blogged Your Mama!” box of gum.

There were plenty of non-candy treasures too. Mini versions of Tokyo Milk soap, washi tape, and notepads.

Once all the contents were positioned I placed the basket in the center of a piece of periwinkle tulle. You can find almost every color of netting imaginable at stores like Wal Mart, Hobby Lobby and Joann’s. It is a lot less expensive than cellophane and I think it looks so much prettier!

The tulle is held in place by a simple bow.

No two baskets are alike. This basket received a vintage button attached with a dab of hot glue.

Another basket was made pretty by a lone vintage pink bunny cupcake pick I had in my stash.

A bigger basket needs bigger embellishment. The recipients initial was once a wooden letter now covered in glitter.

I am sure that there is one with your name on it.
