My Favorite Halloween Decor Ideas This Year

I have just started decorating for Halloween. There are just so many inspiring ideas. My Favorite Halloween Decor Ideas This Year. What a fantastic floral arrangement.

Save this for a festive DIY skull vase, perfect for this Halloween season.:

Leaves, pumpkins, and crows, yes please!

My Favorite Halloween Decor Ideas This Year

I loved this idea of transforming a pumpkin into an ice bucket.

Use a carved pumpkin as an ice bucket.

I generally keep my Halloween decor more on the harvest side or classic suspense literature inspired. These floating candles fall into the second category and would be perfect on our covered porch.

Update: The original link has been removed but this YouTube video is pretty good.

I think I’ll be making these black lace votives.

DIY: Lace it up!:

This scene made me laugh out loud. Unfortunately, I could not find the original source but it’s fairly simple to understand how to create.

These apothecary jars and tins are just too clever!

It would take a lot of drilling but there is something about this chestnut and gourd garland.

Dried gourds and squash form a still life on this mantel. Additional 'Tiny Bottle' gourds hang from a garland of farm stand chestnuts.

I showed these glowing eyes to Sweet Guy and then saw him digging in the trash for tissue rolls.

Use toilet paper rolls to make terrifying glowing eyes.

This might not be typical Halloween decor but these transformed vases look so cool!

I like that, buy cool shaped dishes and use glass paint or enamel to paint them and bake them so they can still be used:

I see less than perfect pumpkins at thrift stores and garage sales all the time. This pumpkin arch is the perfect way to collect and use them.

Yes to cuteness! While the eyes would take a bit of time to create these Halloween Mason Jars are such fun.

I’ve seen large sheets of crepe paper before but never knew what to do with it. Love the bow!

    Many wonderful ideas, Laura! 🙂
I have all of my decorating done, using what I have on hand from years past but always making new scenes with it all. I wasn't really feeling up to the decorating initially because we were still having warm weather and I really was mourning the loss of summer (I don't embrace Fall so easily like so many others apparently), but now that I've settled in, I decorated and have to admit, it's fun.

    Love, Linda

    Great ideas!!!

Our yard is tore up as we are re-landscape. My husband says our yard is already scary (no walking path, uneven ground and a wheelbarrow filled with tore up landscaping fabric). I have a lighted pumpkin in the front window. Gonna have to be “good enough” this year.

That arch is amazing. How fun. You have some wonderful examples of Halloween decor here. I just set a few things this week. I'm going to plug in my trick or treat house by Dept. 56. It's one of my favorites. Have a great weekend.

Laura, you have collected some great ideas. Love the fall leaves around the front door as well as the pumpkin arch. I don't decorate outside other than a few pumpkins on the front porch, and not doing that this year. Too hot and the squirrels are too pesky. '-)
I will add some of these ideas to my files. Love the pumpkin ice container! Have fun decorating.

I will give you one of my Halloween tricks buy a $1 plastic trick or treat pumpkin that looks like a jack-o-lantern and put a flameless candle in it. They light up and glow like the real thing with no mess. It can sit on your porch, table, or be used as path lights. Plus it has a handle so it can also be hung up. Simple, Cheap and festive.

So many fun, creative projects here! I really like your classic suspense literature theme idea. That first shot of the skull and floral arrangement is great, and the skeletons are hilarious!
