Hello dear friends! As the weather turns crisp I find myself wanting to have a cozy nest here at Storybook Cottage. Thankfully Amber of Follow The Yellow Brick Home organized a tour that encouraged me to seek out some new autumnal ideas. Here is How To Use Baskets To Create Fantastic Fall Decor.
How To Use Baskets To Create Fantastic Fall Decor
If you are coming from Our Southern Home thank you for visiting. I love all of Christy’s beautiful baskets.
Baskets are a great starting point to create an autumnal accent.
A simple wicker tray can assist in grouping together a fall vignette.
Or be the star of a lovely centerpiece.
Living Room
Baskets are a perfect living room accessory.
They do double duty in looking lovely while serving a purpose.
They can corral a cozy blanket or pillow.
Or simply stack up some seasonal bliss.
Placing firewood in a basket near the mantel is smart and chic.
As well as featuring a basket on a mini gallery wall.
Kitchen
Baskets are a kitchen staple.
They work so well for holding seasonal produce.
You can tuck in leaves.
Or accent baskets with berries and fall-hued florals.
Porches
Create a welcoming entry by using bushel baskets.
They are available for very little at the craft as well as at home and garden stores.
Over time the patina darkens to a rich brown.
Wicker also works very well outdoors.
It adds another layer of terrific texture.
Don’t forget the door!
Tobacco baskets are a true fall favorite.
Easy Craft Projects
You can also use baskets as a base in creating truly cute containers. Simply hot glue ornamental corn to a sturdy basket and wrap with twine.
I am hoping the 16 oak trees in our garden will soon begin dropping their acorns so I can make this lovely basket for Thanksgiving.
